Video Blog: Sergio Mora Gets Abraham Han on February 6

The ESPN2 Friday night fight card scheduled for the Beau Rivage Casino in Mississippi on February 6 has a new main event as Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora faces Abraham Han for the vacant USBA middleweight title.  The odds are not up for this fight yet.

Mora is going to be a little disappointed, as he is a long-time veteran who was scheduled to meet IBF world middleweight champion Jermain Taylor as the main event on this card. Unfortunately, a string of arrests by Taylor have him sitting in jail.  Han is a good, up-and-coming young fighter with a general resume similar to former Manny Pacquiao opponent Chris Algieri, in that he comes from a kickboxing and traditional martial arts background.

Whether Mora becomes his Pacquiao or his Ruslan Provodnikov remains to be seen for Han, but this is a major step up in competition level for him. Mora, who was looking to grab a piece of a world title for the first time in seven years, must keep winning to preserve a future shot.

In this latest video blog, our veteran boxing expert Miguel Iturrate reviews the new match-up and gives us a word or two on the saga surrounding Jermain Taylor.
