The Voice: Head to Head Battles Continue!

The Voice

It’s a night of great battles on The Voice. These contestants are seriously talented.

On Team Blake, it’s time for our first battle! Kaleb Lee versus Pryor Baird and they are going to sing “Don’t Do Me Like That.” Blake calls it a challenge for both of them. I honestly think that Pryor Baird is a frontrunner in this competition. And…..he’s moving on! Yeah, baby! Kelly stole Kaleb!

Next up for battle is Team Adam’s Mia Boostrom versus Genesis Diaz. They are singing “Because of You,” by Kelly Clarkson right in front of Kelly. Mia has a deep rich tone to her voice, which is different than Genesis’ powerful sound. Mia’s voice is just so unique to me and she seems like she’s at ease, whereas Genesis who can sing her ass off sounds like many of the pop stars out there today. Blake said he would vote for Mia and Alicia would vote for Genesis. Adam chooses Mia. Yay!

Next up is Team Kelly and Justin Kilgore versus Molly Stevens, singing “Burning House.” Molly is going to make a great country western singer. The two of them have great harmony too. Alicia would lean toward Molly and Adam would go with Justin, but says that nobody sings like Molly. Blake would pick Molly. Kelly picks as the winner — Justin.

For Team Adam, it’s time for Miya Bass to go up against Drew Cole, singing “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.” First of all, I want Miya’s pink hair and I literally want to sit with Drew in a bar or even a coffee shop and read poems, he gives off that vibe to me. Blake calls it a Grammy-ish performance. Blake would vote for Miya, while Kelly says she is regretting not turning for Miya. Alicia is all Team Miya. Adam chooses Drew, which is shocking. Alicia Steals Miya! Everyone saw that coming.

Team Blake is up next on The Voice and it’s Jordan Kirkdorffer versus Wilkes, singing “Nobody to Blame.” It’s country versus (maybe) older soul country. Alicia says that if she had to vote, she would vote for Wilkes because she likes his husky voice. Blake chooses the winner of the battle as Wilkes.

We’re back and it’s time for Team Alicia’s young pop battle and going against each other is Britton Buchanan against Jaclyn Lovey, singing “Thinking Out Loud.” Someone has to teach Jaclyn to stop putting her hand near her face. I honestly think that this was the weakest battle of the night, but they did a good job. Kelly said she would steal Jaclyn, who’s been underestimated. Alicia chooses Britton as the winner, calling him a force to be reckoned with.

Blake steals Jaclyn!

Until next week on The Voice.
