Each of these teams has rewarded gamblers this season as the Chiefs have gained 7.2 units and the Seahawks are up 1.8 units.

The Chiefs have gone 11-3 straight up (SU) in 2018 while the Seahawks are 8-6 SU.

The Chiefs fell to the Chargers 29-28 in a Week 15 matchup where the defense allowed the Chargers to pass for 313 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 119 yards and two scores. Mike Williams had a good day for the opposition in that one with 19 rushing yards and a score on one attempt, along with 76 yards and two touchdowns on seven catches. Seattle just fell 26-23 to San Francisco last week. The defensive secondary let the 49ers air it out for 275 yards. Matt Breida put up a good showing for San Francisco, accounting for 50 rushing yards on 17 attempts, along with 46 yards on five catches. For Seattle, Russell Wilson completed 23-of-31 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. The Chiefs have run for 114 yards/game and have 14 touchdowns on the ground this year. The Seahawks are averaging 155 rushing yards per game and have 11 total rush TDs.

If 2018 results can translate to this game, then the Chiefs should hold an advantage along both the offensive and defensive fronts, as their offensive line has given up just 37 sacks while the D-line logged 31 sacks. The Seahawks, on the other hand, have given up 43 sacks and their defense has sacked opposing QBs on just 39 occasions.

The Chiefs offensive scheme has averaged 325 yards in the air overall and has 45 passing scores so far. The Seahawks have recorded 216 pass yards per outing and have 31 total pass TDs.

On the defensive side of the ball, Kansas City has allowed 127 rush yards and 305 pass yards per game. The Seattle defense has allowed 262.9 yards per game to opposing passers and 112.3 yards per game to opposing runners. Both teams allow similar adjusted net yards per pass attempt (ANY/A) to opponents, as the Chiefs have given up an ANY/A of 6.35 to opposing QBs, while the Seahawks are yielding an ANY/A of 6.62.

Offensively, Mahomes is already up to 4,166 passing yards this year. He’s completed 311-of-463 attempts with 43 scores through the air and only 10 interceptions. He has a 9.16 adjusted net yards per pass attempt overall, although that number sits at 6.71 over the last two outings.

For the home team, Russell Wilson has managed to complete 240-of-357 passes for 2,953 yards, 31 TDs and five INTs. Wilson’s ANY/A stands at 7.72 for the season and 4.86 over his last two outings.
