WSOF Odds

WSOF Odds – The World series of Fighting is getting some attention from the sport books on some of their upcoming fights.

The World Series of Fighting 28 comes tous this Friday, February 20th from Garden Grove, California with a card headlined by bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes’ title defense against Joseph Barajas. The fight is set to air on the NBC Sports Network this Saturday night as the main event of a four fight broadcast.

Moraes (15-4-1) is in the middle of a ten fight winning streak, and he has been with the WSOF since the beginning, making his organizational debut in November of 2012 at WSOF 1. As for Barajas, he sports a strong (12-1) record, but he has never been in a five round fight and he is fighting a confident champion. He won his WSOF debut this past November with a late stoppage win over Erik Villalobos, and he finds himself in the title fight because the WSOF really has no one else they can throw at Moraes currently. Moraes has even appeared in the media talking about moving up to 145 or even to 155 lbs to get a chance at more matches.

WSOF Odds – WSOF 29 is March 12th

Looking ahead on the WSOF calendar, the World Series of Figting 29 event is scheduled for Greeley, Colorado on March 12th. That card features the latest title defense for WSOF Lightweight champion Justin Gaethje as he faces Brian Foster.

WSOF has had a lot of talent stop off on thier roster only to make their way to the UFC later. That is not the case with Gaethje, who is entering his 9th fight under the WSOF banner. Gathje is now (15-0) overall and considered the “poster boy” of the WSOF.  In this bout, he faces a veteran in Brian Foster (25-8) who is coming off a WSOF 25 where he fought in an eight man tournament and went 2-1. Foster lost in the tournament’s opening bout in less than two minutes to Joao Zeferino, but was put back into the tournament due to injury.  He won his second fight against rugged Luis Palomino, and the KO’d Zeferino to gain revenge int he finals.

There are four other fights announced for the March 12th show, and you can expect the sport books to post lines for those matches as we get closer to fight time.
