Brazil, nicknamed Seleção (The Selection), enter Group C ranked sixth by FIFA and are making their 23rd World Cup appearance, a streak that stretches back to the inaugural 1930 tournament. Brazil are five-time champions (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002) and hold an all-time World Cup record of 76 wins, 19 draws and 19 losses. Ronaldo is Brazil’s overall World Cup top scorer with 15 goals; Ademir (1950) and Ronaldo (2002) share the single-tournament mark of eight. Brazil also lead World Cup history in titles, appearances, matches played, wins, goals and ejections, according to ESPN.
Morocco, known as the Atlas Lions, are ranked eighth and making their seventh World Cup appearance. Their current run includes three straight tournaments (2018, 2022, 2026). Morocco’s best finish came in 2022 with a fourth-place result, and their overall World Cup record stands at 5-7-11. Youssef En-Nesyri is Morocco’s top scorer at World Cups with three goals; several players have recorded two-goal tournaments for Morocco. Romain Saïss is the nation’s oldest World Cup scorer (32 years, 246 days in 2022) and En-Nesyri was the youngest (21 years, 24 days in 2018).
Haiti, nicknamed Les Grenadiers, appear in their second World Cup in 2026 after first qualifying in 1974. Haiti are ranked 83rd and their best finish remains the 1974 group stage; their overall World Cup record is 0-0-3. Emmanuel Sanon is Haiti’s only World Cup goal scorer to date with two goals in 1974. Haiti is one of five Caribbean nations to reach a World Cup and is the only Caribbean country to qualify for two tournaments, along with Cuba (1938), Jamaica (1998), Trinidad & Tobago (2006) and Curaçao (2026).
Scotland, the Tartan Army, enter ranked 43rd and are making their ninth World Cup appearance. Scotland’s best result is the group stage and their tournament record stands at 4-7-12. Joe Jordan is Scotland’s leading World Cup scorer with four goals; several players have tallied two goals in a single tournament. Heading into 2026, Scotland held the record for most World Cup appearances without ever advancing past the first round, according to ESPN.
