The FIFA World Cup will begin on June 11 in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Ten African nations will take part; several have already published final rosters while others are yet to name their 26-player squads.

FIFA required nations to submit provisional lists of between 35 and 55 players, including at least four goalkeepers, by May 11, according to FIFA. Those preliminary lists are primarily administrative, and countries were not obliged to make them public.

Final 26-player squads must be submitted to FIFA by June 1 and are scheduled to be officially announced on June 2, according to FIFA, though many federations release their selections earlier. As of the latest updates, Ivory Coast and Tunisia announced final squads on May 15, while Cape Verde and DR Congo released rosters on May 18.

Ivory Coast named a full 26-player group on May 15 under manager Emerse Faé. Goalkeepers include Yahia Fofana (Rizespor), Mohamed Koné (Charleroi) and Alban Lafont (Panathinaikos). The squad features defenders such as Ousmane Diomande (Sporting CP) and Evan Ndicka (AS Roma), midfielders including Seko Fofana (Porto) and Ibrahim Sangaré (Nottingham Forest), and forwards like Nicolas Pépé (Villarreal) and Elye Wahi (Nice).

Tunisia, managed by Sabri Lamouchi, also announced its final list on May 15. The roster includes goalkeepers Aymen Dahmen (CS Sfaxien) and Sabri Ben Hessen (Étoile du Sahel); midfielders Ellyes Skhiri (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Hannibal Mejbri (Burnley); and forwards Ismaël Gharbi (Augsburg) and Khalil Ayari (Paris Saint-Germain). Cape Verde’s squad, announced May 18 under manager Bubista, lists Vozinha (Chaves), CJ dos Santos (San Diego) among goalkeepers and attackers such as Jovane Cabral (Estrela Amadora) and Nuno da Costa (Istanbul Basaksehir).

DR Congo announced parts of its roster on May 18, listing goalkeepers Timothy Fayulu (FC Noah) and Lionel Mpasi (Le Havre). Several African sides have not yet announced final rosters in the published lists: South Africa (manager Hugo Broos), Morocco (manager Mohamed Ouahbi), Egypt (manager Hossam Hassan), Senegal (manager Pape Thiaw) and Algeria (manager Vladimir Petkovic).
