WWE Power Rankings, Week of 2/19/17

Welcome to the first installment of the Get More Sports WWE Power Rankings, where we take a look at all of the WWE Superstars and rank them in terms of status, impact, and momentum. Every show WWE put on this week was pretty solid, and with a wide range of talent, we will narrow it down to just 25 spots.

  1. Kevin Owens
Last week, Kevin Owens destroyed Chris Jericho during the Festival of Friendship, and he showed up to Raw this week as the Kevin Owens that took out John Cena in his main roster debut. Owens cut a great promo addressing his match at Fastlane with Goldberg, then took advantage of an assault on Sami Zayn to beat Zayn in quick fashion.
  2. Braun Strowman
Not long ago, Strowman was just another member of the Wyatt Family. Since the brand split, he transformed himself into the mountain of a man, who put on an incredible match with the Big Show this week (including chain wrestling and a kip-up). On top of that, Strowman countered Roman Reigns’ spear with a 385-pound dropkick, followed by a running powerslam to end the show.
  3. Bray Wyatt
While Bray Wyatt didn’t do anything this week other than laugh at Luke Harper’s misfortune, his momentum from last week carries over. Wyatt pinned AJ Styles and John Cena to win his WWE Championship, then defeated both Styles and Cena again two nights later to retain the gold. The Eater of Worlds is still on top of the food chain.
  4. Bayley
Speaking of recent championship victories, Bayley dethroned Charlotte just a week ago to become the Raw Women’s Champion, and she refused to give up her championship this week after a not so clean victory.
  5. Alexa Bliss
Man, we’re having new champions left and right. Naomi suffered a knee injury, so Bliss took on Becky Lynch for the vacated SmackDown Women’s Championship. Thanks to some dirty tactics, Bliss became the first-ever two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion.
  6. Samoa Joe
When it comes to making an impact, Samoa Joe is a master. Just like last week, Joe attacked Sami Zayn from behind, assaulting the Underdog from the Underground before feeding him to Kevin Owens. With only one match on Raw, Joe has already proven to be a top player.
  7. Luke Harper
Harper and AJ Styles were the last two men in the #1 Contender Battle Royal this week, and it was clear that Harper won the match. However, none of the referees have eyes, apparently, so they called it a draw.
  8. AJ Styles
Styles is arguably the most talented Superstar on SmackDown, and he is lucky the referees called that Battle Royal a draw. Styles and Harper get another chance at #1 Contendership next week.
  9. Sasha Banks
Sasha Banks has been gone for a while, but her return to in-ring action made a huge impact when she made Charlotte tap out to the Bank Statement.
  10. Jack Gallagher
The Extraordinary Gentleman is set to face Neville at Fastlane for the Cruiserweight Championship, and between the contract signing on Raw and his great match with Tony Nese on 205 Live, he proved that he is a top commodity.
  11. John Cena
Two weeks ago, John Cena was in the middle of his 16th WWE World Championship title reign. Since then, Cena lost two championship matches, and he lost a battle royal by getting eliminated by someone who wasn’t even in the match anymore (The Miz).
  12. Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns has managed to decimate the current Raw Tag Team Champions (Gallows and Anderson), but he seemingly has no chance when it comes to Braun Strowman.
  13. Enzo Amore & Big Cass
In a surprise to a lot of the WWE Universe, Enzo and Cass defeated Sheamus and Cesaro to become the new #1 Contenders for the Raw Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, the crowd cheered when Amore got Brogue Kicked after the match.
  14. Peyton Royce
Royce has been struggling alongside Billie Kay to make a statement in the NXT Women’s Division, but she did so this week. Royce defeated Ember Moon and Liv Morgan in a triple threat #1 Contender’s Match, and she will face Asuka next week for the NXT Women’s Championship.
  15. The Miz
While The Miz didn’t win the main event spot WrestleMania, he was dead set on preventing John Cena to do the same. The former 6-time Intercontinental Champion doesn’t seem done with Cena yet, with the Doctor of Thuganomics being next week’s guest on MizTV.
  16. Big Show
As mentioned above, Big Show had an incredible match with Braun Strowman in the main event of Raw. That alone gives the 7-footer a ton of brownie points.
  17. Bobby Roode
While Shinsuke Nakamura is recovering from injury, Bobby Roode showed that he deserves to be champion by defeating No Way Jose.
  18. Kassius Ohno
Ohno made his NXT return this week, preventing Roode from attacking No Way Jose after their match. Ohno has his sights set clear on the NXT Championship.
  19. Charlotte
As always, Charlotte put on a great match with Sasha Banks on Raw. However, Charlotte lost in that contest just one week after losing her Raw Women’s Championship.
  20. Natalya
Natalya ended a hot-and-cold feud with Nikki Bella by winning a Falls Count Anywhere match, thanks to the help of Maryse.
  21. Maryse
Speaking of the former Divas Champion, Maryse was tired of having Nikki Bella being thrown into her backstage. In an act of revenge, Maryse ruined Bella’s chances of winning the Falls Count Anywhere Match by attacking Bella with a pipe, hinting her return to the ring.
  22. Brian Kendrick
Whether Akira Tozawa wants it or not, he got a lesson from Kendrick on 205 Live this week. Kendrick didn’t defeat Tozawa by pinfall or submission, but instead by tying him up under the ring.
  23. The Usos
Jimmy and Jey Uso didn’t compete this week, but an impressive fiery promo from the former Tag Team Champions help steer the SmackDown Tag Team Division in the right direction.
  24. Tony Nese
Although he isn’t near the Cruiserweight Championship title picture, Tony Nese put on a hell of a performance against Jack Gallagher that showed that he should be.
  25. Neville
The current Cruiserweight Champion had the week off, but he did a good job with his contract signing this week on Raw. Neville winded up on the losing end of a brawl, but he helped hype the title match for Fastlane.

So, there we have the inaugural WWE Power Rankings. With a huge week ahead of us on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, we could be in for a big shakeup.
