WWE Power Rankings, Week of 3/27/17

Welcome back to the Get More Sports WWE Power Rankings, where we rank WWE Superstars weekly based on impact, momentum, and overall performance throughout the previous week. Since this past week featured NXT TakeOver: Orlando and WrestleMania 33, we have decided to start the “week” for Power Rankings on Mondays from now on. How did this colossal weekend affect our rankings? Let’s find out.

  1. AJ Styles (+1)
The Phenomenal One continues to show his excellence, and this week he put on arguably the best match of WrestleMania 33 with Shane McMahon.
  2. Roman Reigns (+6)
There’s not much to say here about The Big Dog other than the fact that he defeated the Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania and retired the Deadman.
  3. Kevin Owens (+3)
Owens did exactly what he set out to do, and that was to defeat Chris Jericho for the United States Championship. Not only did he win the title, but he also got revenge on the man who screwed him out of the Universal Championship.
  4. Shane McMahon (+3)
The Commissioner of SmackDown Live put on one of the best performances of his career when he battled with AJ Styles. Even though he lost, it was a hell of a match.
  5. Naomi (-)
Naomi returned from injury on SmackDown Live, then won her second SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania in her hometown. What a week for Naomi.
  6. Asuka (-)
The Empress of Tomorrow did whatever was necessary to retain her NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver: Orlando. That win puts her only 13 away from breaking Goldberg’s record of 173-0.
  7. The Undertaker (+2)
While it wasn’t the best match of his career, The Undertaker put on a good main event with Roman Reigns. Most importantly, this was his retirement match and he deserves an extra nod.
  8. The Hardy Boyz (-)
Matt and Jeff Hardy made a surprise return to WWE after several years and won the Raw Tag Team Championships in a ladder match.
  9. Brock Lesnar (-)
Lesnar finally figured out how to defeat Goldberg: take him to Suplex City. He did just that and became the new Universal Champion.
  10. Bayley (-)
After losing almost weekly for the past month, Bayley managed to eliminate Charlotte and retain her Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.
  11. The Authors of Pain (-)
Despite #DIY and The Revival working together for most of the match, The Authors of Pain destroyed both teams and retained the NXT Tag Team Championships.
  12. John Cena (+10)
In one of the biggest moments of WrestleMania 33, John Cena and Nikki Bella defeated the Miz and Maryse, then Cena proposed to Bella in the middle of the ring.
  13. Seth Rollins (-)
Rollins successfully returned from injury to defeat Triple H in a non-sanctioned match, and Stephanie McMahon managed to go through a table in the process.
  14. Mojo Rawley (-)
With the help of Rob Gronkowski, Rawley became the fourth Superstar to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
  15. Randy Orton (-)
While the match may have been anticlimactic, Orton hit an RKO out of nowhere on Bray Wyatt to pick up his 13th World Championship.
  16. Neville (-6)
The Cruiserweight Champion put on a great match to open the Kickoff Show, and he used some dirty tactics to retain his title against Austin Aries.
  17. Bobby Roode (-)
Roode used Shinsuke Nakamura’s leg against him, and it paid off when he his one final Glorious DDT in the main event of TakeOver: Orlando to retain the NXT Championship.
  18. Nia Jax (-12)
Jax dominated the Raw Women’s Championship match and was only eliminated when all three of her opponents worked together to hit her with a triple powerbomb.
  19. Aleister Black (-)
Formerly known as Tommy End, Black impressed in his NXT debut when he soundly defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas.
  20. Goldberg (-)
In what seems like the end of his last run, Goldberg put on his best match with Brock Lesnar to date.
  21. Dean Ambrose (+4)
While the Intercontinental Champion didn’t put on an incredible match, he walked out of the Citrus Bowl with his title.
  22. The Revival (-)
The Revival, along with #DIY, manage to put on tag team wrestling clinics every time they are in the ring.
  23. #DIY (-)
The only reason #DIY is below The Revival is because they were eliminated from their match first.
  24. Sheamus & Cesaro (-)
Aside from the Hardy Boyz, Sheamus and Cesaro put on the best performance in the Raw Tag Team Championship ladder match.
  25. Chris Jericho (-8)
At 46 years old, Chris Jericho put on a great United States Championship with Kevin Owens. Unfortunately for Jericho, he lost.
  • New to the Rankings This Week: Sheamus & Cesaro, #DIY, The Revival, Goldberg, Aleister Black, Bobby Roode, Randy Orton, Mojo Rawley, Seth Rollins, The Authors of Pain, Bayley, Brock Lesnar, The Hardy Boyz, Asuka, Naomi
  • Kicked off the Rankings: Austin Aries, The Usos, Sami Zayn, Ruby Riot, Nikki Bella, Alexa Bliss, Maryse, The Miz, Bray Wyatt, Brian Kendrick, Andrade “Cien” Almas, Oney Lorcan, American Alpha, Charlotte
