Yesterday we had four big name prospects drop out of the first round, three due to off-the-field issues. Headed into the second and third rounds tonight, it will be interesting to see who pulls the trigger on Dorial Beckham-Green, Randy Gregory and especially La’el Collins. Collins might have been a top 10 pick two days ago but has now reportedly gone off teams’ boards entirely.
On the first day of the draft, quarterbacks went 1-2, then the first round went a bit haywire outside the top 10 with surprises. We saw only two trades and none in the top 13. That pattern will most likely change today.
It’s not even been 24 hours since teams like the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints already blew this draft. Let’s see if they can recover on Day 2. On to the second and third rounds.
