It’s not often players and managers speak out against umpires, both because they don’t want to be fined and because they might fear repercussion on the field. But after a silly brawl broke out between the Pirates and Braves on Monday night, one Pittsburgh pitcher couldn’t help himself. Meanwhile, Dallas Keuchel was happy to be back on a baseball field in front of a crowd. The Padres are happy doing about anything these days. And John Kruk was anything but happy to see the Phillie Phanatic in the broadcast booth.

When umpires ejected Joe Musgrove for hitting Josh Donaldson in the shirt, it messed up the Pirates’ bullpen plans. Jameson Taillon spoke out.

Dallas Keuchel looked ready for the Majors in his first minor-league start with the Braves, and he said it was good to get back out there after signing this week.

Somebody once told the Padres the world was going to roll them, but these guys don’t look like they’re being rolled.

Ever wonder what the broadcasters think of the hi-jinks that interrupt them doing their jobs? Maybe some like it, but don’t count John Kruk in that camp.

Cue the Spider-man GIF.
