We’ll have one more day off before the most exciting event in sports. Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday night is sure to be a banger. You’ll have to pay at least $1500 to get in the door of TD Garden as the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues meet for the right to hoist Lord Stanley. Let’s take a look at how Bruce Cassidy might deploy his lines against St. Louis, and catch up on other news around the NHL.

Travis Yost has an excellent piece on Bruce Cassidy’s probable game plan for Game 7. Boston has focused on shutting down St. Louis’ top line when they have had the benefit of making the final changes due to home ice. Zdeno Chara and Charlie McAvoy have been continuously deployed against them, while the forward pairings alternate.

Bruins captain Zdeno Chara made history last night in Game 6, and he's set to break another record in Game 7.

Speaking of Chara, the Bruins captain broke a record in Game 6. He became the oldest player (42) to ever score in the Stanley Cup Finals when he pocketed an empty netter late in Boston’s 5-1 win over St. Louis. Chara will break another record when he plays in his record 14th Game 7 on Wednesday.

The Philadelphia Flyers are on the clock. Last week, Philadelphia traded a fifth round pick to Winnipeg to acquire Kevin Hayes before Hayes became an unrestricted free agent on July 1. It was assumed that there was at least framework for a deal in place, but the two sides have yet to come to terms.

After two years of professional hockey in Sweden, Jesper Boqvist is coming to the NHL. The New Jersey Devils selected him early in the second round of the 2017 NHL Draft, and he is finally heading across the pond. Boqvist tallied 13 goals in 22 assists in Sweden last season.
