According to Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, running back Damien Williams will be the team’s starter heading into the season. Williams got the nod last season after the team cut Kareem Hunt. Williams has been in the league since 2014 and was originally signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma. Williams carried the ball 50 times last year for 256 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. He added 12 catches for 160 yards and two scores.

Landry held out of Browns minicamp

The Cleveland Browns aren’t taking any chances with wide receiver Jarvis Landry. The team is holding Landry out of their mandatory minicamp next week over an undisclosed injury as a precaution. Last season Landry caught 81 passes for 976 yards and four touchdowns.
