Baltimore Orioles Favored at Home on Sunday vs. Cleveland Indians on MLB Network

The MLB Network will televise the game between the Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. Let’s look at the contest and baseball betting lines.

Baseball Betting Lines: The Baltimore Orioles are favored on Sunday as they host the Cleveland Indians in a game that can be seen on the MLB Network. The Cleveland Indians have played better of late but they still don’t have a winning record. The Baltimore Orioles have been hovering around the .500 mark for much of the season but that has been good enough to have them in contention in the American League East. Let’s look at Sunday’s matchup and baseball picks.

Probable Pitching Matchup – Bauer vs. Gonzalez

Trevor Bauer got his first win of the season last time out as he pitched well against the Detroit Tigers. He comes into this game a 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA. He allowed just seven hits in six innings against a potent Detroit Tigers offense. He has now struck out 13 batters and allowed just three earned runs in 12 innings this season. It could be that the Cleveland Indians keep him in the starting rotation for the rest of the year.

Miguel Gonzalez is expected to get the call for the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. He is 2-3 on the season with a 4.53 ERA. The team skipped over him last time in the rotation and the extra rest seemed to help as he allowed just two runs in six innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He is now 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in his last three starts. He is 2-0 in his career against the Cleveland Indians with a 3.06 ERA.

Series Notes

These teams had split their last ten meetings before this four-game series began with two of the last three going over. They had also split the last ten in Baltimore with the last four going under the total.

Baseball Picks

The total on this game is likely to be at least 9 and probably 9.5 and I think the pitching matchup looks good for the under. I will take the Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles under the baseball betting lines on Sunday.
