Baseball Betting: The Atlanta Braves host the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday in a game that can be seen on ESPN. Probable Pitchers – Haren vs. Teheran
The overall numbers for Dan Haren this season are not that great as he is 9-9 on the season with a 4.57 ERA. He has been awful recently but in his last start against the Angels on Wednesday he was really good as he allowed just 3 hits and 1 earned run in 7.1 innings. He may have been pitching for his spot in the rotation considering how bad he had been before that start. It will be interesting to see if he can follow it with a good outing on Monday.
Julio Teheran is just the opposite of Haren. He has been solid all season with a 2.92 ERA but he didn’t pitch well last time out as he gave up six earned runs on nine hits and two walks in six innings against Seattle. Teheran was outstanding early in the season but in his last seven starts his ERA is 4.47.
Dodgers vs. Braves Series
The Dodgers have taken 7 of the last 10 in this series. They swept the Braves in Los Angeles last month, winning 2-1, 3-2 and 8-4. The Braves have done okay at home in this series, winning six of the last ten. Three of the last five meetings in Atlanta have gone over.
Baseball Picks
The Braves are getting to the point where they need to start turning things around before they are out of the race. They really should already be out of it but the Nationals haven’t put them away. This is a good spot for the Braves on Monday so we’ll look for them to get the home win with Teheran on the mound.
