Mat Latos is 1-1 on the season with a 2.45 ERA. He only gave up one run last time out to the Padres but his offense did nothing and he got the loss. Latos is 1-1 in his last three starts with a 3.20 ERA. He is 2-4 in his career against the Brewers with a 3.28 ERA.
Brewers vs. Red Series
The Cincinnati Reds have done really well lately against the Milwaukee Brewers in this series. They had won five of the seven previous meetings before this series began. They took three of four in May at home against the Brewers.
Game Notes
The Brewers have been one of the top road teams in the league this season but this three-game set in Cincinnati will be a big test. The Reds have been right around the .500 mark at home this season but they have played better at home of late. The key for Cincinnati going forward will be to get more out of an offense that ranks just 21st in the league in runs scored.
