MLB Betting: The Kansas City Royals visit the Cleveland Indians on Sunday in what should be a low scoring contest. The Royals are set to go with Danny Duffy who has not given up more than three earned runs in more than a month while the Indians send Corey Kluber who has an ERA of 1.86 in his last four games. Duffy vs. Kluber
Danny Duffy comes into this game with a record of just 5-7 but his ERA is excellent at 2.60. He has given up a total of seven runs in his past 37.1 innings. He has not allowed more than three earned runs in a starts since late May. In his last three starts he is 1-2 with a 1.93 ERA. He has thrown 12.1 innings in his career against the Indians with a 4.38 ERA. He isn’t getting much run support this season which is why he has a losing record.
Corey Kluber has been just as good lately as Duffy. He has a 1.86 ERA in his last four starts and gave up just one run last time out against the Dodgers, but still couldn’t get a win. In his last three starts he is 1-2 with a 1.31 ERA. He has a 3-1 career mark against the Royals with a 3.77 ERA. The Indians normally support Kluber with runs as they are 7th in the league in runs per game.
Series Notes
This has been a home team series for the most part. The Royals took both games in KC last month against the Tribe, winning 4-1 and 9-5. They have struggled in Cleveland though as they had dropped 7 of the last 10 before this series began. Three of the last five in Cleveland had gone over the total.
