Bednar brings the Stanley Cup to Humboldt Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament

Coach Jared Bednar of the Colorado Avalanche was recognized this past weekend, and to celebrate, he brought a brand-new companion with him home. Bednar carried the Stanley Cup with him when he was inducted into the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) Hall of Fame. Bednar and the Cup spent time together at the sixth annual Conexus Credit Union Humboldt Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament prior to the ceremony.

To support the Humboldt Broncos Legacy Awards Program, the competition is organized. On their route to a game in 2018, the Broncos lost 16 players in a bus accident. Originally from Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Bednar. “Coach spent the morning at the Humboldt Golf Course greeting fans and introducing them to Lord Stanley at the 5th Annual Conexus Credit Union Humboldt Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament,” said a tweet from the Colorado Avalanche.
