Charlotte Hornets – Milwaukee Bucks Preview – 02.19.2016

The Charlotte Hornets visit the BMO Harris Bradley Center to take on the Milwaukee Bucks. Action gets underway at 8:00 pm ET on Friday, Feb. 19 and will air on FWi and FxS.

The Bucks defeated the Wizards 99-92 the last time they played. Khris Middleton was the game’s leading scorer with 27 points on 9-for-17 shooting. The Hornets, meanwhile, are coming off a 117-95 win over the Pacers in their last game. Kemba Walker was the game’s top scorer, posting 25 points on 10-for-21 shooting.

Walker and Nicolas Batum have been on a tear over the last five games for the Hornets. Walker has averaged 24.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and 3.0 three-pointers during that stretch, while Batum has put up 17.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 0.6 steals, 1.4 blocks, and 2.8 three-pointers.

Both teams have won a game in the season series. The Bucks had the upper hand in the most recent game, a 105-92 win. Middleton was the game’s top overall scorer with 24 points.

The Bucks are looking to improve on their records of 22-32 Straight Up (SU) and 27-26-1 Against The Spread (ATS). They are 22-32 SU and 27-26-1 ATS against the Eastern Conference. If its opponents turn the ball over, Milwaukee has shown that it knows how to capitalize. They average 18.6 points off turnovers, making them the fifth-best team in the league for that category.

In the other locker room, the Hornets have a record of 26-26-1 ATS and 27-26 SU. Charlotte has records of 27-26 SU and 26-26-1 ATS against the East. The Hornets rely heavily on three-pointers on offense, ranking third in the league with 550 made (10.0 per game). Don’t expect Charlotte to give away the ball much on offense, where its 12.3 turnovers per game are the least in the league.

In their previous meeting this season, Milwaukee beat Charlotte, but the win was not enough to overtake Charlotte in the recent head-to-head series. Its record is now 2-8 SU over the most recent 10 meetings. The teams have an even record ATS, 5-5.

Predictions: SU Winner – Cha
