Patrick Laird had a solid showing for California, recording 83 rushing yards on 22 attempts. For Washington, Jake Browning completed 11-of-21 passes for 148 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Kamari Pleasant (62 rushing yards on 12 attempts) handled the running game as Andre Baccellia (four receptions, 40 yards) and Ty Jones (three catches, 50 yards, one TD) led the pass-catching corps in the loss.

Stanford has run the ball on 47.3 percent of its offensive possessions this year while Washington has a rush percentage of 58.8 percent. The Cardinal have produced 95 rush yards per game (including 104 per game versus Pac-12 opponents) and have eight touchdowns on the ground this year. The Huskies are putting up 168 rush yards per game (171 in conference) and have 16 total rushing TDs.

If the results so far this season are any indication, then the Huskies ought to own an edge in all aspects of the ground game, since their running backs has logged 4.2 yards per carry while the defense is allowing a YPC of 3.6 to opponents.
