The Buffaloes will be looking for similar success after dismantling the Oregon Ducks in their last game, 73-51. The Buffaloes knocked down 24 of their 28 free throws (85.7 percent) and held the Ducks to an offensive rebounding percentage of 18.2 (below their season average of 29.7). Colorado received a boost from Tyler Bey, who was the game’s high scorer with 27 points on 9-for-9 shooting.

The last time the Bruins played, they lost to the Washington Huskies, 69-55. Washington’s free throw rate was their biggest strength over UCLA. The Huskies had a rate of 0.222 (below their season average of 0.276), while the Bruins posted a mark of 0.093 (below their season average of 0.222). UCLA’s Kris Wilkes had a solid game, leading both teams in scoring with 20 points on 8-for-19 shooting.

After the Buffaloes won both matchups against the Bruins last season, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. In the last matchup, Colorado won 80-76. The Buffaloes knocked down 18 of their 25 free throws (72.0 percent) and had a better turnover percentage (12.7 vs. 13.5).

The offense of UCLA (193rd in the country with an offensive efficiency of 104.3) will go head-to-head against the top-notch defense of Colorado (79th in the NCAA with a defensive efficiency of 97.5). The Buffaloes figure to have the advantage on that end of the court.
