Surely, the week begins with a bang; and one of the strangest stories you will hear.

First, we see video of a man standing next to a fire truck. This comes to us via Steve Lindsay of CBS Philadelphia. Now, this story has gone viral nationally very quickly. Indeed, a man was catching babies out of the window of a house fire. He describes his experience, and compares it to Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor.

Furthermore, he says he has skills that Agholor doesn’t. The unnamed hero says he can catch, unlike Agholor.

He takes us through the full story.

“Then I saw a guy hanging out the window screaming that his kids were in there. I ran to the backdoor and ironically one of my old co-workers took the ladder off the truck. And the man was throwing babies out the window. We were catching them, unlike Agholor.”

So why is the man poking fun – or in a serious manner – taking a dig at the lack of hands of the Eagles’ wideout? Well, on Sunday Agholor made a serious gaffe in the Eagles 27-24 loss at home to the Detroit Lions. Moreover, Agholor was the primary target for Philadelphia; to the tune of 8 catches for 50 yards and two touchdowns.

Equally important, the Eagles were heavily relying upon Agholor because of the absence of Desean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery.

To be fair to Agholor, he only was credited with one drop in the game. However, his fumble loomed large as the crucial gaffe in this disappointing loss.

He spoke about the turnover in the wake of his otherwise decent game.

Agholor expanded upon the crucial fumble a little bit.

“I’m put in great positions, but in terms of making mistakes, it can’t happen. Especially with me being a veteran in the group.”

With all that being said, the real story here is how important football is to the natives of the City of Brotherly Love. Indeed – amongst heroes who catch babies out of burning home windows – all that is thought about is the ball that the feature wide receiver didn’t catch.

Also, listen to the first clip again, because there is a certain amount of authenticity as he says it. Never change, Eagles fans.
