CHELSEA

The Blues are in a positive run of four matches without a defeat, and they managed to escape a loss at Anfield last weekend thanks to lucky Willian’s goal that’s secured them a precious point against Liverpool who led until the 85th minute through Mohamed Salah. Chelsea is now in the third position in the Premier League with 26 points, 17 more than Swansea, and 11 behind the league leaders Manchester City. Antonio Conte’s side is a massive favorite on this one, and anything but a convincing will would be a huge surprise.

Chelsea played 21 games so far in the 2017/18, recording 13 victories, three draws, and five losses, with a goal difference of 47:22, which is 3.28 goals per contest on average. The Blues are without a home defeat in the previous four matches, scoring ten goals in the process and conceding six in return. They won five out of the last seven H2H encounters at Stamford Bridge, and Swansea’s only win was in the League Cup back in 2013.

Alvaro Morata is the team’s top scorer with nine goals in 18 appearances, while Michy Batshuayi with seven, Eden Hazard with six, and Willian with four goals are also key contributors to the attack. Hazard and Cesc Fabregas are the most creative individuals with six assists apiece, while Willian and Cesar Azpilicueta are following them with five dishes to their respective names. Antonio Conte cannot count on Bathsuayi who is dealing with a malleolar injury and will not feature on Wednesday, while the winger Charly Musonda is struggling with his knee and will miss this tilt with Swansea.

SWANSEA

The Swans are desperate to end the negative run of six consecutive matches without a win but are facing a tough task against the reigning champions on the road, so even a point here would be a miracle for them. Swansea drew the lasts Premier League game with Bournemouth at home as it ended 0:0, and that point left them in the 9th position with nine points, just one more than the bottom-placed Crystal Palace. Paul Clement’s side is struggling at the moment, and they are one of the biggest candidates for relegation this season, so he must change something real quick or else he will be looking for a new job pretty soon.

Swansea City played 16 games in this campaign, recording four victories, three draws, and nine losses, with a goal difference of 13:18, which is 1.93 goals per contest on average. The Swans lost the previous three away matches, but they are actually better on the road than at home this season, so the hosts should be cautious with their approach, and they must not underestimate the visitors.

Tammy Abraham is the team’s leading scorer with five goals in 16 appearances, but he cannot play against Chelsea as he arrived at Liberty Stadium as the Blues’ player on loan, so he’s a match-tie for this one. Jordan Ayew with three, and Alfie Mawson and Leroy Fer with a couple of goals apiece are following Abraham on a goal-scoring chart, while Wilfried Bony is still looking for his first goal of the season and will lead the attack on Wednesday. Clement is without a centre-back Kyle Bartley who is still out with a ruptured ligament in his knee and will not be back until the mid-December.

Chelsea vs. Swansea City – Match Prediction

Despite some surprising results on the road including a 0:0 draw with Tottenham at Wembley, I don’t think Swansea is good enough to escape a defeat here, so I am backing the hosts to win big.

MY PICK: Chelsea AH -2 (+102)

Everton vs. West Ham United

Three-Way: 1: Everton +145; X: +240 Draw; 2: West Ham +240 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread 0: Everton -145; West Ham +142

Total +2.5: Over +114; Under -114

EVERTON

The Toffees are in a bad place at the moment as they won once in the last 12 matches and lost the previous two, conceding nine goals in the process, which is quite humiliating for the club of their stature. Everton lost 1:4 to Southampton at St. Mary’s in the latest Premier League tilt, but again, they disappointed and let the opponents to destroy them without giving a fair fight in return, and if they continue playing like this, the Toffees could face relegation this year. David Unsworth’s side is currently in the 16th position with two points more than West Ham, but a potential loss here could send them to the danger zone, so a positive result is a must for the hosts.

Everton played 24 games in this season, recording seven victories, five draws, and 12 losses, with a goal difference of 26:46, which is precisely three goals per contest on average. The Toffees have just one home win in the last six matches, and it was the comeback one against Watford, so they need another inspiring performance like that to beat the Hammers on Wednesday. Everton has an excellent record with West Ham in the Premier League as the Hammers won just once since 2007, and the hosts will be looking to build on that tradition to get three points here.

Oumar Niasse in the team’s top scorer with six goals in nine appearances, but is unable to help his teammates on this one as he is serving a two-match suspension for diving against Crystal Palace, becoming the first-ever player in the Premier League to receive that ban. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Wayne Rooney scored five goals apiece, while the youngster Calvert-Lewin is the best assist-maker with four dishes to his name at the moment. David Unsworth cannot count on Ramiro Funes Mori (knee), Seamus Coleman (broken leg), Yannick Bolasie (cruciate ligament rupture), and Ross Barkley (hamstring), while Leighton Baines and Michael Keane sustained calf and head injuries in a loss to Southampton and are doubtful to feature here.

WEST HAM UNITED

The Hammers are not in good form as well as they are without a win in the last four matches in the Premier League, but at least they managed to avoid defeat in the latest tilt with Leicester, as it ended 1:1 at London Stadium. West Ham was down early in the game as the visitors took the lead through Marc Albrighton, but Cheikhou Kouyate’s header in the 45th minute settled the final score. David Moyes’ side is now in the 18th position with ten points, and his return to Goodison Park will be interesting to watch, as I am sure he will not get a warm reception from Everton fans.

West Ham United played 16 games in the 2017/18 so far, recording five victories, four draws, and seven losses, with a goal difference of 20:28, which is exactly three goals per contest on average. The Hammers are without an away win in the Premier League the season, and they are traditionally struggling at Goodison Park, so the visitors will be satisfied to escape a loss on Wednesday.

Andre Ayew is the team’s leading scorer with five goals in 14 appearances, while Chicharito with four, and Diafra Sakho with three are also integral contributors to the attack. Manuel Lanzini is the most creative individual with three assists to his name, but Moyes needs to see more from the Argentinean, as well as from Marko Arnautovic, who should be more involved in the offense. David Moyes is without Jose Fonte (malleolar), Chicharito (hamstring), and Sam Byram (thigh), while Michail Antonio (chest) and James Collins (ankle) are doubtful for this encounter.

Everton vs. West Ham United – Match Prediction

Everton is allowing a bunch of goals lately, and I doubt they will keep the net intact on this one so that I would go with goals on both ends.

MY PICK: Both teams to score YES (-115)
