EPL Fantasy: Week 11 Lineup

The Premier League season continues this Saturday with five games on the schedule and that means a full slate of daily fantasy leagues available on DraftKings. There will be 10 rosters to choose from when it comes to building a winning fantasy lineup but the best approach as always is to narrow down our options and focus on a smaller group of teams that are most likely to emerge with wins. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings EPL fantasy leagues.

GK: Artur Boruc, Bournemouth

Salary: $5,400

Bournemouth has earned just one of a possible six points over its last two games but should be in a favorable position to get back in the win column when they take on a Sunderland side that still doesn’t have a win through 10 games this season. Boruc ranks among the top EPL fantasy goalkeepers in the Premier League so far this season and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he earned a clean sheet win over Sunderland this weekend.

D: Simon Francis, Bournemouth

Salary: $3,700

We didn’t think twice about jumping back on Bournemouth’s favorable matchup with a chance to lock in Francis at the defender position. Francis doesn’t offer much in terms of offensive upside but he is a reliable defender that will play substantial minutes and he could be in line for a clean sheet bonus versus Sunderland.

D: John Stones, Manchester City

Salary: $3,300

Manchester City moved back in to the win column with an emphatic 4-0 win over West Brom last week and will look to build on that victory when they take on Middlesbrough on Saturday. Stones won’t get a ton of attention but the fact that he should be in City’s starting XI makes him a strong choice as a sleeper value pick at the second defender position.

M: Eden Hazard, Chelsea

Salary: $9,100

After locking in a couple of strong sleeper value plays at the defender positions we have the salary cap space to spend big on the midfield positions beginning with the highest-priced option on the board in Hazard. Chelsea’s top playmaker has scored in three straight games for the Blues and is up to five goals and two assists this season. Chelsea will have a tough test versus Everton this weekend and we expect Hazard to rise to the occasion and prove he is worth investing that amount of money in.

M: Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City

Salary: $8,900

De Bruyne has been City’s best player so far this season so it only makes sense that we have him in our DraftKings lineup. The veteran midfielder went three games without a point before registering an assist in last week’s win over West Brom and it could be a sign of things to come with City set for a big game against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

F: Sergio Aguero, Manchester City

Salary: $9,200

Aguero delivered a monster performance last week when he had two goals and an assist in last week’s 4-0 win over West Brom so it should be no surprise that we are including him in our Manchester City stack for this Saturday. Hazard, De Bruyne and Aguero represent a formidable trio that we will build our lineup around for this weekend. He’s our most expensive add but we’ll count on him to deliver.

F: Callum Wilson, Bournemouth

Salary: $6,600

With our big three locked in, Wilson represents the perfect combination of high upside at a very reasonable price tag in DraftKings competitions. Wilson has been held off the score sheet in back-to-back games for Bournemouth so he is due for a strong EPL fantasy performance in a favorable matchup versus Sunderland on Saturday morning.

FLEX: Nicolas Otamendi, Manchester City

Salary: $3,500

With just under $4K left for our final FLEX position the key is to pick the best player available with the money that we have left over. Otamendi fits that bill as a reasonably priced defender whose upside is even greater this week with City primed for a strong performance versus Middlesbrough. The clean sheet bonus should be in play and we are clearly all in with our Manchester City stack for Saturday’s EPL fantasy competitions.
