The Phoenix Suns (1-7) look to snap their seven-game losing streak when they meet the Memphis Grizzlies (5-2) at Talking Stick Resort Arena. The game starts at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 4, 2018, and will air on Fox Sports – Southeast.

The Over/Under (O/U) for the game opened at 209 points with Memphis set as a 2-point favorite.

In the Grizzlies’ last contest, they beat the Utah Jazz, 110-100, as 8.5-point underdogs. The combined points for the game (210) finished over the projected point total of 201.5. The Grizzlies had a great free throw rate of 0.280 (above their season average of 0.254) and had a better turnover percentage (10.9 vs. 13.7). Memphis rallied around Marc Gasol, who finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

The Suns fell to the Toronto Raptors in their last outing, 107-98, but were able to cover as 9.5-point underdogs. The game’s total points (205) finished well under the O/U total of 226.5. Toronto’s 0.160 free throw rate was their largest advantage over Phoenix, who had a rate of 0.110. The Raptors’ mark was below their season average of 0.189, while the Suns’ was below their season average of 0.210. With 17 points and 18 rebounds, Phoenix’s Deandre Ayton had a good performance.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams. In the first, the Suns lost 117-96, unable to cover as 7.5-point underdogs. Ayton led both teams with 24 points and also had eight rebounds and five assists. The game finished with a total of 213 points, which was 6 points above the projected point total of 207 points. The Grizzlies had a much better turnover percentage (11.9 vs. 18.0) and had a better free throw rate (0.253 vs. 0.192).

Memphis heads into the game with records of 5-2 straight up (SU) and 5-2 against the spread (ATS). Of the Grizzlies’ seven games, four have finished under the projected point total.

Meanwhile, Phoenix is 1-7 SU and 3-5 ATS. Vegas is extremely accurate when predicting totals of Suns games, with an even split between overs and unders.

It will be a battle of opposite paces as the fast-breaking Suns will look to push the slower-paced Grizzlies. Dating back to last season, the Suns rank eighth in possessions per game while the Grizzlies are 30th.
