The San Antonio Spurs are listed as a -125 favorite to win the best-of-seven series and they are a 3.5 point favorite to win Game 1 with the total listed at 198.5.

 

The Miami Heat have won six of the last ten meetings between the teams with five of the last seven going over the total. The teams split their two regular season meetings this season with the Miami Heat winning 113-101 at home while the San Antonio Spurs won 111-87 at home. The San Antonio Spurs have won 7 of the last 10 at home with three of the last four going over.

 

Series Notes

This will be the first time since 1998 that the NBA Finals will feature a rematch. “The two best teams will meet,” Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade said. “We’re just happy and excited that we’re one of the best.” This will be the sixth time the San Antonio Spurs will be playing in the NBA Finals. They won the title in 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007 with their only loss coming last year. This will be the fourth straight year for the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals and the fifth overall. They won the title in 2006 and each of the past two years while losing in 2011.
