NFL Week 9 Betting Odds: Look-ahead Lines

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

As we get set for the start of Week 8 of the NFL season, the Week 9 look-ahead lines have been posted. Fans are already excited about the Los Angeles Rams-New Orleans Saints showdown as well as the Aaron Rodgers-Tom Brady matchup on Sunday Night Football. Here’s an early look at the NFL Week 9 betting lines:

Oakland Raiders at San Francisco

Look-ahead Line: 49ers -2.5

The Raiders are all but packing it in for the year as they’re already in the midst of locker room infighting halfway through the season. At least San Francisco is still fighting for their head coach.

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings

Look-ahead Line: Vikings -6.5

The Lions have turned their season around but a visit to the Vikings will be their true test. Are they in fact a contender in the NFC North or has it merely been a few good weeks?

Kansas City Chiefs at Cleveland Browns

Look-ahead Line: Chiefs -7

The Chiefs have looked unstoppable on offense. Now they’ll visit the Browns, who appeared to be an upstart early in the season but have faded in recent weeks.

Atlanta Falcons at Washington Redskins

Look-ahead Line: Redskins -1

The banged up Falcons unit visits the Redskins, who are currently atop the NFC East. As bad as the Falcons have looked, the oddsmakers are suggesting that they’re the better of the two teams here.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers

Look-ahead Line: Panthers -4.5

The Panthers are a small favorite over the struggling Bucs in this spot. Surprisingly, these two teams are separated by just one win as we enter Week 8.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens

Look-ahead Line: Ravens -3

We’re likely to see another tight game between the AFC North rivals. The Ravens won the earlier meeting but need this one badly as they’ve lost two of three entering their Week 8 game at Carolina.

Houston Texans at Denver Broncos

Look-ahead Line: Texans -1.5

It’s hard to believe the Texans are a road favorite but they’ve been hot after their ugly 0-3 start. The Broncos have been the exact opposite as they’ve struggled on both sides of the ball.

Los Angeles Chargers at Seattle Seahawks

Look-ahead Line: PICK

The Chargers have been playing really well of late as Philip Rivers has put together what some might say is an MVP-type campaign. We’ll see what they’re capable of on the road in Seattle, which is traditionally a tough place to play.

Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints

Look-ahead Line: PICK

The top game of the week features the undefeated Rams as they visit the Saints. Many people feel this could be a preview of the NFC Championship Game.

Green Bay Packers at New England Patriots

Look-ahead Line: Patriots -7.5

Aaron Rodgers taking on Tom Brady on Sunday Night Football will be nothing short of entertaining. The Packers have the weaker team on paper, which is why they’re such a big underdog, but keep an eye on the status of Rob Gronkowski and Sony Michel.

Tennessee Titans at Dallas Cowboys

Look-ahead Line: Cowboys -4

Two teams that are still in their division races but are scuffling meet in this contest. The Cowboys have played much better at home (3-0) than on the road (0-4) so far this season.

Other Look-ahead Lines

Chicago Bears at Buffalo Bills

Look-ahead Line: NO LINE

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins

Look-ahead Line: NO LINE
