Northern Kentucky Norse vs. IUPUI Jaguars Odds Preview 02/01/19

The Northern Kentucky Norse (18-4, 8-1 Hor) put their six-game winning streak on the line when they meet the IUPUI Jaguars (13-9, 5-4 Hor) at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The game starts at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, February 1, 2019.

The Norse come in on a high note after beating the Milwaukee Panthers in their last outing, 73-60. The Norse had a much better free throw rate (0.241 vs. 0.062) and held the Panthers to an effective field goal percentage of 0.431 (below their season average of 0.490). With 30 points on 8-for-16 shooting, Drew McDonald was the top scorer from either team.

In the Jaguars’ previous game, they defeated the Detroit Titans, 80-65. The Jaguars made 13 of their 15 free throws (86.7 percent) and held the Titans to an offensive rebounding percentage of 12.0 (below their season average of 28.7). With 10 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, IUPUI’s Evan Hall had a solid performance.

This is the second game of the season between these two squads. In the first, McDonald scored a game-high 24 points and the Norse beat the Jaguars 92-77. He also recorded 12 rebounds. The Norse made 25 of their 29 free throws (86.2 percent) and had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.620 vs. 0.485).

It will be a battle of conflicting styles as the fast-breaking Jaguars will look to push the more methodical Norse. The Jaguars currently rank 80th in possessions per game while the Norse are 182nd.
