Orlando Magic Sign Free Agent Drake Jeffries

According to today’s announcement from President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman, the Orlando Magic have signed free agency guard Drake Jeffries. The transactions’ terms are kept a secret in accordance with team policy. Jeffries played and started in 17 games for the University of Wyoming past season, averaging 11.4 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, and 33.4 minutes per game while shooting.491 (57-116) from beyond the arc.

 

During his two seasons at the University of Wyoming (2020–22), Jeffries played in 42 games for the team (21 of which he started), averaging 9.0 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, and 26.9 minutes per game while shooting.424 (109–257) from beyond the arc. Additionally, he spent the 2018–19 and 2019–20 academic years playing at Indian Hills Community College in Iowa and Minot State University in North Dakota, respectively. Jeffries will don the Orlando Magic’s No. 55 jersey. Guard Alex Morales has also been released by Orlando. Morales did not take part in any of the Magic’s preseason games. Orlando has 20 players on its roster.
