The Magic will be looking for a similar outcome after comfortably covering the 4-point spread against the New York Knicks in their last outing, 115-89. The total points for the game (204) finished well under the O/U total of 221.5. Orlando’s 8.0 turnover percentage was their biggest strength over New York, who had a mark of 15.8. The Magic’s mark was better than their season average of 11.8, while the Knicks’ was above their season average of 12.2. Orlando was lifted by Nikola Vucevic, who contributed 21 points and 14 rebounds.

The last time the Wizards took the court, they defeated the Miami Heat, 116-110, despite being 3.5-point underdogs. The total points for the game (226) came in just over the projected point total of 224. The Wizards made 28 of their 38 free throws (73.7 percent) and had an offensive rebounding percentage of 41.5 (above their season average of 18.0). John Wall was the top scorer from either team with 28 points on 9-for-20 shooting from the field.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams. In the first, Vucevic had 21 points and 14 rebounds and the Magic, who were 4-point underdogs, beat the Wizards 117-108. The game finished with a total of 225 points, which was just 3.5 points above the projected point total of 221.5 points. The Magic had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (25.6 vs. 16.2) and had a better turnover percentage (13.7 vs. 16.6).

Orlando heads into the game with records of 6-7 straight up (SU) and 5-7 against the spread (ATS). Vegas has a tendency to place the total high when the Magic are involved, as eight of their 12 contests have finished under the O/U total.

Meanwhile, Washington owns records of 3-9 SU and 3-9 ATS. Unlike Orlando, games including the Wizards have a tendency to finish over the projected point total (66.7 percent).

Both teams have had a player take their game to the next level over their last five games. Terrence Ross (13.2 points) has been stellar for the Magic while Dwight Howard (12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds) has contributed greatly to the Wizards.

This game should be a battle of conflicting styles. Washington has preferred an up-and-down style of play (ninth in possessions per game), while Orlando has been slower-paced (21st in possessions per game).
