Parker Lewis, Ohio State kicker, was given the go-ahead by the NCAA

Parker Lewis will be eligible to play for Ohio State at last. The former USC kicker moved to the Buckeyes this offseason, but the NCAA did not declare him eligible until Monday, according to a Bucknuts confirmation. Joey Kaufman of the Columbus Dispatch was the first to report the news of Lewis’ eligibility.

Lewis began searching for a different opportunity than he had with the Trojans when he joined the transfer portal in the middle of December. The kicker committed to the Scarlet and Gray on April 29 but wasn’t added to the roster by the end of fall camp, which continued into the beginning of the season. Lewis has so far been absent from Ohio State’s first four games of the season, which include victories over No. 5 Notre Dame and the Big Ten season opener against Wisconsin. Lewis’ longest distance in a career is 52 yards.
