Rice Owls – Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Preview – 02.27.2016

Conference USA foes will lock horns when the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (21-7) play the Rice Owls (12-16) at Thomas Assembly Center. Action begins at 7:00 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The Bulldogs enter this game hoping for similar success after topping North Texas 73-62 on Thursday. Alex Hamilton was the team’s leading scorer with 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting. The Owls, meanwhile, are coming off a 76-74 win against Southern Miss on Thursday. Marcus Evans led the game in scoring by accounting for 32 points on 12-for-19 shooting.

Evans has been hot for the Owls, averaging 26.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1.8 three-pointers over the past five games.

This is the second game of the year between these two teams, with the Bulldogs winning the first matchup 90-78. Hamilton had a stellar game with 31 points, nine rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one three-pointer.
