Samford Bulldogs – Chattanooga Mocs Preview – 02.27.2016

The Samford Bulldogs (13-17) will travel to McKenzie Arena to challenge the Chattanooga Mocs (24-5) in their home finale. Action begins at 5:00 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 27 and can be seen on ES3.

The Mocs are hoping to rebound after their 79-64 loss to UNC Greensboro in their last matchup. Chuck Ester had a good outing, recording 12 points, six rebounds, and three assists for Chattanooga. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are coming off a 73-67 win against VMI in their last game. Jamal Shabazz played well for Samford, registering 13 points, one steal, and one block.

Wyatt Walker has upped his play for the Bulldogs, averaging 18.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.8 steals, and 2.0 blocks over the past five games.

This is the second game of the year between these two teams, with the Mocs winning the first matchup 63-56. Tre’ McLean finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Mocs come into this game 24-5 Straight Up (SU) and 16-9 Against The Spread (ATS). Over their last 10 games, they have only managed a record of 2-8 ATS.
