Roadblock End of the Line Recap: 4x Champ

Tonight is Roadblock: End of the Line, which is Monday Night Raw’s (and WWE’s) last Pay-Per-View of the year. Except for the United States Championship, every championship on Monday Night Raw is being defended tonight, most prominently the Raw Women’s Championship in an Iron Match. Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon have set up a big night for the WWE Universe, with the Road to WrestleMania right around the corner.

Rusev (w/Lana) vs. Big Cass
Enzo Amore tried to capitalize on apparent marital issues between Rusev and Lana, but the plan backfired. Lana set up Amore to go to her hotel room, only to have Rusev ambush him. Cass brawled with Rusev on Raw last week to avenge his best friend, and now it is turned into an official match.

Lana provided a distraction at ringside just long enough for Rusev to sneak a count-out win. Winner (via count-out): Rusev

Predicted Winner: Rusev (1/1)

The New Day (c) vs. Sheamus & Cesaro – Raw Tag Team Championships
After reluctantly teaming up, Sheamus and Cesaro have failed on multiple occasions to capture the Raw Tag Team Championships from the New Day (who are now the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history). After a bar room brawl, Cesaro and Sheamus have finally been on the same page, and after winning a #1 Contender’s match at Tribute to the Troops, The New Day have possibly the biggest threat of their reign.

Cesaro fools Kofi Kingston to think that he tagged in the match, and Sheamus takes advantage of Kingston’s confusion to get the clever win. New Day’s legendary title reign has finally come to a close. Winners, and NEW Raw Tag Team Champions: Sheamus & Cesaro

Predicted Winners: Sheamus & Cesaro (2/2)

Braun Strowman vs. Sami Zayn
Mick Foley hasn’t believed in Sami Zayn enough to give him a match with Braun Strowman, until tonight. Zayn doesn’t have to win the match, but in order to impress Mick Foley, he has to survive for 10 minutes.

Mick Foley comes down to the ring in an attempt to throw in the towel for Zayn, but Zayn manages to survive for another two minutes, ending the 10 minute time limit with a Helluva Kick. Winner: Sami Zayn

Predicted Winner: Braun Strowman (2/3)

Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho
Seth Rollins doesn’t care about Chris Jericho. Rollins wants a match with Triple H, but he knows he has to beat Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship in order to get to The Game. The problem is that Chris Jericho has been helping Kevin Owens win every Universal Championship title defense, so Rollins needs to beat Jericho to get to Owens to get to Triple H.

Kevin Owens tries to help Y2J, but Jericho is more worried about Owens being there than capitalizing on the opportunity. Rollins then hits Jericho with a Pedigree to pick up the win. Winner: Seth Rollins

Predicted Winner: Seth Rollins (3/4)

Rich Swann (c) vs. TJ Perkins vs. Brian Kendrick – WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Rich Swann won the Cruiserweight Championship a couple weeks ago on 205 Live, and Kendrick wanted to cash in his rematch as soon as possible. The next week, Kendrick cashed in the rematch, but TJ Perkins interfered. Now, all three men battle for the belt.

After Swann and Perkins double superkick Kendrick, Swann immediately hits Perkins with his spinning heel kick to retain the title. Winner, and STILL WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Rich Swann

Predicted Winner: Rich Swann (4/5)

After the match, Neville appears out of nowhere and attacks all of the Cruiserweights.

Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte – Raw Women’s Championship (Iron Man Match)
Since July, Sasha Banks and Charlotte have been playing hot potato with the Raw Women’s Championship. This match is the last in their historic feud. Tonight, it’s an Iron Man match, where we see who can score the most falls in 30 minutes.

Charlotte hits Natural Selection from the top turnbuckle to score the first fall. Winner (first fall): Charlotte

After an unusually complicated pinning combination, Banks quickly ties the match back up. Two minutes later, she locks in the Bank Statement for the third fall, putting her up 2-1. Winner (second and third falls): Sasha Banks

With seconds on the clock, Charlotte turns the Figure Four Leg Lock into the Figure Eight, and Sasha Banks is forced to tap out with :03 on the clock. We are now in sudden death overtime. Winner (fourth fall): Charlotte

One final Figure Eight Leg Lock puts Sasha Banks away, and gives Charlotte her fourth Raw Women’s Championship in eight months. Winner: Charlotte

Predicted Winner: Sasha Banks (4/6)

Kevin Owens (c) vs. Roman Reigns – WWE Universal Championship
Roman Reigns defeated Kevin Owens in a non-title match on Raw a few weeks ago to earn this opportunity, and if he wins, he will be both the Universal and United States Champion.

Chris Jericho rushes down to the ring while both men are laid out, then hits Owens with a Codebreaker. This means Reigns is disqualified, and Owens keeps his title. Winner, and STILL WWE Universal Champion (via disqualification): Kevin Owens

After the match, Jericho gives Owens the belt and proves that it was a planned way for Owens to keep the title. Seth Rollins then runs to the ring, and he teams up with Reigns to send Chris Jericho through the Spanish announce table, and send Owens through the main announce table.

Predicted Winner: Roman Reigns (4/7)
