ALAVES vs. EIBAR

3-Way: 1: Alaves +173; X: +220 Draw; 2: Eibar +215 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread 0: Alaves -120; Eibar +116

Total +2: Over -105; Under +106

ALAVES

Deportivo Alaves were heavily beaten by Getafe, 4:1, in the previous round of the Spanish La Liga. They were two goals down after the first ten minutes of the game, looking completely stranged on the field. It could have been much worse until the halftime, so you can imagine how they’ve been playing as they’ve conceded a couple of goals early in the second half. It was their fourth defeat in the last five La Liga matches, and the first time they allowed four goals to their opponents this season.

After the first twelve rounds of the Spanish La Liga Alaves is in the 19th spot of the table with six points, a 6:20 goal difference and a 2-0-10 record, six points behind Eibar who’s in the safe 17th spot. Alaves has an identical 1-0-5 record at home and on the road, and they need to start collecting points in front of the home fans as soon as possible. They are the most inefficient team at the home stadium in the La Liga with just three goals scored in six games.

The 29-year old striker Christian Santos is a team’s leading scorer with two goals in six appearances, while four other players bagged one goal each, including the forward Munir El Haddadi who’s the best assist-maker with two dishes in ten appearances this season. The wingers Ibai Gomez and Alfonso Pedraza both made one assist so far.

The manager Gianni De Biasi is surely upset after terrible defensive job against Getafe last weekend, and for the next match with Eibar, he will be without the centre-back Victor Laguardia (knee injury), and the left-back Hector Hernandez (malleolar injury).

EIBAR

The Gunsmiths put on their best performance this season in the previous round of the Spanish La Liga when they hammered Betis, 5:0, in front of the home fans. They were dominating throughout the game, taking 17 shots on Betis’ goal, and after Aissa Mandi’s red card in the 55th minute, they humiliated the ten-men rival with three goals in the second half. It was their third victory of the season, first since September 15th when they won against Leganes, 1:0.

After the first twelve rounds of the Spanish La Liga Eibar is just above the relegation zone in 17th place of the table with 11 points, an 11:25 goal difference, and a 3-2-7 record. The Gunsmiths played pretty well at home, earning eight points out of six games with an 8:7 goal difference, while on the road they were disastrous, recording one victory and five losses in a row with a 3:18 goal difference.

The 33-year old strike Charles, who arrived from Malaga this summer, scored a couple of goals against Betis, and he’s now the teams leading scorer with four goals in 11 appearances this season. The 27-year old striker Sergi Enrich bagged his second goal of the season last weekend, and the fans are expecting more from him in the following rounds. Two left-backs David Junca and Jose Angel are the best assist-makers with two dishes thus far.

The manager Jose Luis Mendilibar is still without some important players, as the winger Pedro Leon, the centre-back Ivan Ramis, and a midfielder Fran Rico are all sidelined due to knee injuries.

ALAVES vs. EIBAR – Match Prediction

Alaves had a terrible game in the last round, while Eibar had their best game of the season so far, so this one will be interesting to watch. The Gunsmiths were beaten five times in a row on the road, and this is a good chance to get a positive result.

MY PICK: Draw (+220)

REAL MADRID vs. MALAGA

3-Way: 1: Real Madrid -556; X: +1500 Draw; 2: Malaga +3500 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread -3: Real Madrid +114; Malaga -112

Total +4: Over -130; Under +125

REAL MADRID

Los Blancos finally hammered someone last Tuesday when they’ve beaten APOEL, 6:0, in the UEFA Champions League Round 5. Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema both scored a brace and it could be a huge boost before they face the following challenges in the Spanish La Liga. Los Blancos drew with Atletico Madrid, 0:0, and now they are ten points behind the leader Barcelona.

Real Madrid is in the third spot of the La Liga table after the first twelve rounds with 24 points, a 22:9 goal difference and a 7-3-2 record. They have earned 11 points at the home soil with an 11:4 goal difference and a 3-2-1 record, while on the road they recorded four victories, one draw, and one defeat with an 11:5 goal difference.

Cristiano Ronaldo is having some difficult time in the La Liga this season as he has scored just one goal in eight appearances, adding two assists to his name, while Karim Benzema has exactly the same record as Cristiano Ronaldo. The winger Marco Asensio and the midfielder Isco are the team’s leading scorers with four goals apiece, while Isco is the top assistant with three dishes in 12 matches this season.

The manager Zinedine Zidane is still without Gareth Bale (pulled hamstring), while the captain Sergio Ramos (nasal fracture) is doubtful for the next match. The 27-year old defender Nacho Fernandez will have to serve the yellow card suspension, so we’ll see who will play along Raphael Varane.

MALAGA

In the previous round of the Spanish La Liga, Malaga has beaten Deportivo La Coruna, 3:2, in a true rollercoaster at La Rosaleda. Malaga took the lead in the 15th minute, but until the 52nd minute, the visitors scored a couple of goals to put the pressure on the home side. However, Malaga managed to level the match in the 63rd minute of the game, while Borja Baston secured three points with his first goal of the season in the 84th minute of the game.

Malaga is at the 18th spot of the La Liga table after the first twelve rounds with seven points, a 9:25 goal difference and a 2-1-9 record. They have earned both victories at home, along with one draw and three losses, while they were awful on the road, recording six consecutive defeats without scoring a goal, and conceding 13 in a return.

The 24-year old Uruguayan striker Diego Rolan is the only player in Malaga’s squad with at least two goals on the account, while the 23-year old attacking midfielder Juanpi Anor is the best assist-maker with two dishes in 11 appearances this season. The striker Borja Baston finally scored the first goal of the season, and he has to contribute more in the following games.

The manager Michel is still without the midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic (muscle injury), and the right-back Miguel Torres (muscular problems), while the left-back Federico Ricca will be sidelined for at least a month with a shoulder injury.

REAL MADRID vs. MALAGA – Match Prediction

Los Blancos are massive favorites in this one, and the fans will expect to see some goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and co. Malaga won two out of their last five matches, but I think they cannot take anything from Santiago Bernabeu. Over their last 11 head-to-head matchups, the over has been topped only twice, and considering the current form of both teams, I think that we will not see more than 4 goals in this contest.

MY PICK: Under 4 goals (+125)
