Survivor Ghost Island is now down to just 10 contestants and the competition is really getting exciting, as two contestants will be eliminated in next weeks episode 11!  In addition Michael dodged  his second bullet in a row, in a lucky save during the voting.   In betting terms, Laurel Johnson is still the top pick to win Survivor Ghost Island ,  this week at odds of 3 to 1.  Domenick Abbate holds at odds of 4-1,  Jenna Bowman is at 5-1, Angela Perkins drops down to odds of 7½ – 1, after  a display of her cunning psychological moves in episode 9, and Wendell Holland comes back  to 7½ – 1, after some contestants scheming against him have been eliminated.

Episode 10 Recap

This week’s episode 10 was all over the board, and with 35 seasons under their belts, the producers definitely know what curve balls to throw in, to keep the competition exciting.  This weeks show opened with a Reward Challenge, with team orange and team purple each having to rescue one of their members from a floating platform, and then successfully complete a 3d Survivor puzzle.  Team orange won the challenge, along with a helicopter ride to a scenic island for a feast, while team purple sent Angela to Ghost Island in a random pick.

As the contestants strategized, we saw Michael appeal for alliances to his group, after his almost unanimous ousting last week.  Kellyn reconfirmed her loyalty and faith in the group of 4 girls, and they aimed at eliminating Michael.  In Angela’s trip to Ghost Island, she loses her vote in the next Tribal Council.  In the mix, Dominick discovered from Laurel, that the Naviti girls had their own plan to take her out, along with him and Wendell.  Dominick confronted Kellyn, trying to get her to his side, but Kellyn didn’t buy it.  The bigger event, was that Donavan found an immunity idol right under his nose, just before the Immunity Challenge.

Immunity Challenge

The weeks Immunity Challenge was a balance skill test with each contestant having to balance a ball on a platform, using only attached ropes.  In the first 10 minute round, 8 contestants dropped out quickly, leaving only Chelsea, Sebastian, and Kellyn.  Round two, got harder and soon Kellyn dropped out, then Sebastian, giving Chelsea the win and immunity in this week’s Tribal Council.

In more positioning, Desiree schemed to eliminate Kellyn behind her back, and Dominick’s paranoia spreads to other players as each tried to plan their strategy.  Desiree’s plan to blindside Kellyn blew up in her face as it was discovered, and Dominick tried to align the guys, knowing that the girls would most likely be out to get them.  Finally things came to a head with a Dominick-Kellyn meeting where she let Dominick know the girls want Michael out.  With the Tribal Council coming quickly, Dominick questioned his choices of alliances once again.

Tribal Council

In the Night 27 Tribal Council things got heated as Desiree got caught and exposed in her lie, prompting all the contestants to question and second guess their alliances.  As the votes were read, it was more than apparent, that all the contestants felt betrayed by Desiree, and did not want her around, knowing she was a straight to their face liar.  Vote results; 6 votes Desiree, 2 votes Michael.  Eliminated, Desiree left  angry, and Michael breathed a sigh of relief as for a second week in a row he survived with a near miss.   The producers threw in a twist with next week’s preview announcing that in episode 11, on May 2nd, two contestants would be eliminated, so stay tuned cause it’s getting exciting!
