Shaquille O’Neal believes that Kevin Durant should make it work

The Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Durant’s request for a trade has been the major topic of the offseason’s narrative for more than a month, and there is still no sign of a settlement. Kyrie Irving appeared to be the Nets player most likely to leave Brooklyn a week before the start of free agency. However, a few days later, Durant surprised the NBA when word of his trade request at the end of June leaked out.

The story doesn’t appear to be nearing its conclusion any more than it did when clubs began signing free agents. Shaquille O’Neal, a former player for the Los Angeles Lakers, advised Durant, 33, to demonstrate his leadership qualities, remain put, and succeed in Brooklyn while everyone waits for news on his future. According to O’Neal, “if you build a house, you should live in it since you hired the architect. As the leader, you should make it happen.”
