Bell MTS Place will be the site for an East-West clash as the Winnipeg Jets prepare to face the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs. The opening faceoff will be at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, October 24, and it is being televised live on NBC Sports Network.

Toronto (+100) is entering this one as the underdog to Winnipeg (-120) and the oddsmakers have set the Over/Under (O/U) at 7 goals (-110 for the over, -110 for the under).

The Jets are 6-3 straight up (SU) and have earned 1.8 units for moneyline bettors this season. That winning percentage, ranked third in the league so far this season, isn’t too far off from to what the team produced during the 2017-18 season (52-30). If the Jets decide to give him the evening off, however, head coach Paul Maurice may turn to the undefeated Laurent Brossoit (2-0 record, .955 save percentage, 2.01 goals against average).

Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor will each lead the charge for the Jets. Scheifele (nine points) has tallied four goals and five assists while Connor has four goals and four assists to his name so far in the early stages of the season.

Frederik Andersen (27.3 saves per game) has been the primary choice in the net for Toronto. Andersen owns a 4-3 record, and has registered a .910 save percentage and 2.75 goals against average this year.

Auston Matthews (10 goals, six assists) and Morgan Rielly (four goals, 10 assists) are the top point-getters for Toronto and will lead the attack for the visiting Maple Leafs.
