Weekend Boxing Odds And Picks

This weekend, the eyes of the boxing will will be focused on the Forum in Inglewood, Calif. as top-rated middleweight Gennady Golovkin returns to face Willie Monroe Jr.  Golovkin may not be the best pound-for-pound fighter on the card, however, as he is sharing the bill with Nicaragua’s sensational flyweight Roman Gonzalez, who faces off against veteran Edgar Sosa.  The fights will air on HBO, and the sportsbooks have added a line on the eight-round bout scheduled between undefeated Ivan Morales (27-0) and veteran Danny Flores (14-6-1).

Not to be missed on Friday night, both ESPN2 Friday Night Fights and TruTV Boxing will air fight cards.

The ESPN2 show will feature a featherweight eight-round bout between a pair of undefeated fighters Luis Rosa (19-0) and Jonathan Perez (9-0) that has gotten a line at the books.  The main event of Reynaldo Ojeda (16-0) and Monty Meza Clay (36-4) should also get attention at the books as we get clsoer to fight time.

The Bob Arum and Top Rank card on TruTV fatures Jose Benavidez (22-0) taking on Jorge Paez Jr (38-5-2) for the interim WBA World Title at Super Lightweight.  the card also features undefeated prospect Antonio Orozco (21-0) facing a tough test in Emmanuel Taylor (18-3) that may get some last minute attention at the books as well.

For Saturday, lines have also been added for fights in Mexico and South Africa.  Check out our lateset video blog reviewing all the new lines that have popped up at the sport books in the last 24 hours;
