Wright State Raiders at Northern Kentucky Norse Betting Prediction

The Raiders come in on a high note after thoroughly outplaying the Western Carolina Catamounts in their last game, 96-73. The Raiders had a much better free throw rate (0.345 vs. 0.175) and had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.655 vs. 0.492). Wright State received a boost from Bill Wampler, who was the top scorer from either team with 26 points on 9-for-15 shooting.

In the Norse’s last game, they won big over the Wilmington (OH) Quakers, 102-38. The Norse had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (60.0 vs. 21.3) and had a much better free throw rate (0.323 vs. 0.121). Jalen Tate was the game’s leading scorer with 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field.

Looking at effective field goal percentage, Northern Kentucky should have a noteworthy advantage. The sweet-shooting Norse offense ranks 34th in the NCAA in that metric at 0.558, while the suspect Wright State defense is ranked 317th in effective field goal percentage allowed (0.542).

Both teams have had a player take their game to the next level over their last five games. Loudon Love (0 points) has been great for the Raiders while Drew McDonald (0 points) has contributed greatly to the Norse.

After the Raiders won both meetings against the Norse last season, these teams will battle for the first time this year. In the most recent contest, Wright State won 69-67. The Raiders had a much better turnover percentage (11.4 vs. 17.0) and had a better free throw rate (0.218 vs. 0.172).
