Wyoming Cowboys vs. San Diego State Aztecs Betting Prediction

The Cowboys are hoping for a better outcome after their 85-70 loss to the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels in their last contest. Getting to the charity stripe was one of UNLV’s largest advantages. They had 28 free throw attempts, while Wyoming had 15. Hayden Dalton led Wyoming in scoring with 21 points on 7-for-14 shooting.

The last time the Aztecs played, they got blown out by the No. 23 Nevada Wolf Pack, 83-58. Converting at the free throw line was one of Nevada’s biggest advantages. They were 16-20 (80.0 percent), while the Aztecs were just 6-10 (60.0 percent). With nine points and 13 rebounds, San Diego State’s Malik Pope had a good performance.

The battle on the backboards could prove decisive, pitting strength against strength. The Aztecs rank 54th in offensive rebounding percentage (33.6 percent), while Wyoming ranks 40th in defensive rebounding percentage (75.0 percent).

Wyoming is 16-9 straight up (SU), but they have trouble covering the spread (10-12-1 against the spread (ATS)). Of the Cowboys’ 23 games that accepted bets, 13 have finished over the O/U total.

Meanwhile, San Diego State is 13-10 SU and 12-9 ATS. Similarly to Wyoming, Aztecs games also have typically gone over the total (57.1 percent).

This will be the second game of the season between these two teams. Dalton scored a game-high 36 points in the first matchup, in which the Cowboys, who were 3-point underdogs, beat the Aztecs 82-69. He also put up 15 rebounds and five assists. The game finished with a total of 151 points, which was just 1.5 points above the projected point total of 149.5 points. The Cowboys knocked down 16 of their 22 free throws (72.7 percent) and had a better turnover percentage (13.8 vs. 17.2).
