CFL Odds: The feature game in Week 14 of the CFL has the British Columbia Lions visiting the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday. The action in Week 14 begins on Friday as the Montreal Alouettes visit the Ottawa RedBlacks while the Saskatchewan Roughriders are in Edmonton to take on the Eskimos. The other game in Week 14 is on Saturday with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Let’s look at all four games and CFL picks.
-Friday, September 26th-
Montreal at Ottawa
Ottawa has just one win on the season but this is the perfect spot for them to get win number two. Montreal is playing better but they are still not a good team. We’ll look for the RedBlacks (+3) to win this one outright.
Saskatchewan at Edmonton
The Roughriders (+6) are stuck with Tino Sunseri at quarterback and he is not a long term answer. This is the first meeting between the teams this season. The Roughriders have failed to cover in five of the last six. We’ll look for this game to stay under the total of 49.
-Saturday, September 27th-
British Columbia at Calgary
The big key in this one will be whether or not Bo Levi Mitchell can play. If he plays then Calgary has a good shot to win this one but if he misses then the Lions have a better chance to win. These teams met last month and it was BC winning 25-24. Let’s look at some of the trends. The Lions are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games in September. The Stampeders are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Under is 4-1 in the Lions last 5 road games. The Under is 12-4 in the Stampeders last 16 games overall. The Over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Calgary. We’ll look for this one to go over.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Winnipeg Blue Bombers
The Tiger-Cats are finally playing better with Zach Collaros at quarterback. Winnipeg had not played well, losing five of its last six games. The key for the Bombers is whether or not Drew Willy plays as he was questionable with a shoulder injury. We’ll take this game over the total.
