MLB Picks: Los Angeles Dodgers Favored vs. San Diego Padres on Tuesday Night

MLB Betting:  The San Diego Padres visit the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night in an NL West rivalry game.  These two teams met just over a week ago in San Diego and it was the Dodgers winning two of three.  The Padres normally struggle in Los Angeles as they have dropped eight of the last 10 at Dodger Stadium.  Here is a look at Tuesday’s match-up and MLB picks.

Clayton Kershaw

If the rotations stay on schedule then it should be Clayton Kershaw getting the ball on Tuesday for the Dodgers.  Kershaw is having a fantastic season as he is 17-3 with a 1.70 ERA.  It is extremely rare when a pitcher is mentioned in the MVP race but Kershaw is definitely in the discussion this season. He has amazing numbers as he has six complete games and two shutouts along with a no-hitter.  He has struck out 202 batters in 169.1 innings.  The Dodgers will be more than a 2-1 favorite in MLB betting odds in this game on Tuesday if Kershaw goes as expected.  He beat the Padres three weeks ago, giving up just 1 run in 3 innings.

San Diego Padres Pitching

The Padres don’t get a ton of attention but their pitching has been really good this season as they rank 3rd in the league in team ERA. Their starters are usually solid and the bullpen is very good. The problem for the team is that they are dead last in runs scored in Major League Baseball.  And yes, betting the Padres under the total has been the way to go as they went under 84 times, over just 49 times with 5 pushes in their first 138 games.

Series Notes

The Dodgers had won six of the past ten against the Padres before this series began. Four of the last five went under the total. The Dodgers had won eight of the last 10 at home with four of the last five going under.

MLB Picks

Is there any price on Kershaw and the Dodgers that is too high?  We’ll look for the Dodgers to win again with Kershaw on the mound in what should be a low scoring game.
