New York (+135) is hosting this game as the underdog to Toronto (-155) and oddsmakers have put the Over/Under for this game at 8.5 runs. The odds for betting on the game’s total stand at -110 for both the over and the under. Bettors can also wager on the game’s spread with the most recent runline odds sitting at Yankees -1.5 runs (-110) and Blue Jays +1.5 runs (+100).

Right fielder Kevin Pillar and first baseman Justin Smoak have led the Blue Jays’ offense this year. Pillar is slashing .333/.400/.778 with three hits, one RBI and three runs scored, and Smoak is batting .364 with four hits and two RBIs.

Pillar did not seem to enjoy hitting against righty pitching at home last season, slashing .208/.250/.303 in 236 such plate appearances (compared to his total season line of .255/.300/.403).

In the other dugout, New York’s pitchers have allowed 2.7 runs per game and its starters own a 1.08 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 10.26 K/9. The bullpen has an ERA of 4.82, along with a K-per-9 of 13.50.

Yankees hitters have slashed .228/.297/.485 on their way to 4.3 runs scored per game in 2018, including 4.3 runs per game against divisional foes and 4.3 per game over the team’s last five outings (2-1 SU).

New York’s offensive production been led by Stanton Stanton and Tyler Austin. Stanton has four hits, four RBIs and three runs scored, while Austin has two hits, two homers, three RBIs and two runs scored.

Stanton didn’t seem to enjoy hitting against righty pitching on the road last season. Over 283 such plate appearances, he maintained a slash line of .261/.332/.569 (his total season line was .281/.376/.631).
