NFL Week 4 Betting Odds: Look-ahead Lines

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Week 3 of the NFL season is underway but we’re already looking ahead to Week 4. There are some NFL Week 4 look-ahead lines up on the board, so let’s take a look at what to expect in the final week of September.

Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Rams

Opening Line: Rams -5

The Vikings-Rams showdown is an early battle for NFC supremacy. And although it’s only Week 4, this could go a long way in determining home-field advantage on in the playoffs.

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots

Opening Line: Patriots -9.5

The Dolphins have surprised in the early part of the season. At worst, they’ll have an equal record to the Patriots when these teams meet but the oddsmakers aren’t fooled by those records.

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts

Opening Line: Texans -1

The Texans and Colts are jockeying for position behind the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC South. Even so, it’s surprising to see the winless Texans as a road favorite in this spot.

Cincinnati Bengals at Atlanta Falcons

Opening Line: Falcons -4

This seems like a low number as the Falcons were favored by 6-7 points over the Carolina Panthers last week. The Panthers host the Bengals this week and the Panthers are three-point favorite in that contest.

Buffalo Bills at Green Bay Packers

Opening Line: Packers -14.5

The Bills are likely to be the biggest dog of the week many times this season. This should be child’s play for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

Opening Line: Cowboys -4.5

The Lions host the Patriots this week and are a sizable home dog. There’s a good chance they head into this Week 4 matchup still in search of their first win of the season.

New York Jets at Jacksonville Jaguars

Opening Line: Jaguars -9.5

The Jaguars have looked like one of the best teams in the AFC so far. Nothing should change in this meeting as their ferocious defense will face rookie quarterback Sam Darnold.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Chicago Bears

Opening Line: Bears -2

It’s interesting to see the Bucs as the dog here against a Bears unit that’s looked average. The Bucs are 2-0 but will be on a short week after playing the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.

Cleveland Browns at Oakland Raiders

Opening Line: Raiders -3

The Browns will enter this matchup riding the high of a win in Week 3 and perhaps the beginning of the Baker Mayfield era. The Raiders? Well they may still be winless as they get ready to host the Browns.

New Orleans Saints at New York Giants

Opening Line: Saints -3

The Saints have had a shaky start to the season but the Giants have been flat-out terrible. This is another game the Saints will be expected to win but they haven’t fared well in those spots so far this season.

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers

Opening Line: Steelers -3

The Ravens-Steelers battles are always tough, grind-it-out type of games and Week 4’s matchup should be no different. Both are looking up at the Bengals in the division at the current moment, though.

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos

Opening Line: Chiefs -3

The Chiefs electric offense will square off with the Broncos stalwart defense in this one. As good as Patrick Mahomes has been so far, a road trip to Mile High will be one of the toughest tests of his early career.

Other Opening Lines

Philadelphia Eagles at Tennessee Titans

Opening Line: OTB

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals

Opening Line: Seahawks -3

San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Chargers

Opening Line: Chargers -4.5
