The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (11-10, 1-7 ACC) will try to snap their five-game losing streak when they square off against the Boston College Eagles (11-8, 2-5 ACC) at Silvio O. Conte Forum. The game starts at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, February 2, 2019, and will air on ACC Network.

In the Fighting Irish’s last contest, they were dismantled by the No. 2 Duke Blue Devils, 83-61. Duke’s 0.627 effective field goal percentage was their largest strength over Notre Dame, who had a mark of 0.409. The Blue Devils’ mark was above their season average of 0.538, while the Fighting Irish’s was below their season average of 0.480. John Mooney was Notre Dame’s high scorer with 14 points on 4-for-15 shooting.

The Eagles were beaten by the Syracuse Orange in their last game, 77-71. Syracuse’s turnover percentage was the team’s biggest strength over Boston College. The Orange had a rate of 17.0 (worse than their season average of 15.5), while the Eagles posted a mark of 20.3 (above their season average of 15.1). With 21 points on 6-for-13 shooting, Ky Bowman was Boston College’s high scorer.

Ball protection should be an advantage for the Fighting Irish. This will be the second game of the season between these two squads. In the first, Mooney scored a game-high 27 points and the Fighting Irish beat the Eagles 69-66. He also had 12 rebounds. Notre Dame did a fantastic job of converting from the charity stripe (20-23; 87.0 percent). Boston College, on the other hand, had a better effective field goal percentage (0.446 vs. 0.402).
