Overtime was a popular proposition on Saturday in the NHL Playoffs. Three of the four games went to overtime, and that gave fans plenty of heart palpitations. We have still yet to have a game last more than one overtime, but that is surely coming over the next two months. Check out the other top stories below.

Doesn't look like Nazem Kadri and Jake DeBrusk will be friends anytime soon…https://t.co/v5o9i1K53e pic.twitter.com/12vy1EhuLk

Boston and Toronto’s series has already gotten ugly. The series is tied at one apiece, but the story has been the brutality we’ve seen out of Jake DeBrusk and Nazem Kadri. DeBrusk’s knee-to-knee hit on Kadri was somehow missed by the officials, but Kadri took exception, and he is likely to miss multiple games after a cross-check to the face of DeBrusk late in the third period. There will be a lot to watch for when the series moves to Toronto on Monday.

The Carolina Hurricanes hung in there against the defending Stanley Cup champions and forced overtime, but Brooks Orpik put the Washington Capitals up 2-0 in the series after less than two minutes of extra play. Washington is now a heavy favorite to make it to the conference semifinals.

Nashville evened its series with Dallas on Saturday night with Craig Smith’s overtime goal being the decider. The Predators needed the win to avoid falling down 0-2 with the series shifting to Dallas. Defense has been the story of this series, and that’s what to watch in Game 3.

Nathan MacKinnon was the hero for Colorado on Saturday night. MacKinnon showed why he is one of the best young players in the league after ripping a wrist shot past a helpless Mike Smith in overtime to even the Avalanche’s series with the Flames.
