St. Louis Hosts First Stanley Cup Game in Almost 50 Years and More

The St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins will meet in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight. It will be the first time that St. Louis hosts a Stanley Cup Finals game in five decades, and the atmosphere will be electric as they cheer on their Blues. The series is tied at one apiece heading into this game.

If you’re a long-suffering Blues fan, it’s going to cost you a pretty penny to get into tonight’s Game 3. The cheapest seats in the building tonight are going to cost $800 a pop as the whole city has caught Stanley Cup fever.

Massachusetts native Zach Sanford will replace Oskar Sundqvist in St. Louis’ lineup tonight. Sanford grew up rooting for Boston, so it’s a little ironic that his Blues will be taking on the Bruins in his Stanley Cup debut. He has not played in more than six weeks coming into tonight’s game.

The Boston Bruins have announced that John Moore will replace Matt Grzelcyk in the lineup for Game 3 tonight. Grzelcyk is listed as day-to-day, and he is still in the concussion protocol after Sundqvist’s hit on him in Game 2 on Wednesday. Moore has not played much this postseason, logging just 64 minutes of ice time.

Toronto and Los Angeles are working on a deal to send Patrick Marleau to the Kings according to multiple sources. Marleau is 39, and he seems to be on his last legs, so it’s hard to imagine the Maple Leafs getting much in return for him. New Kings coach Todd McLellan is familiar with Marleau from their time together on the Sharks, and he thinks the veteran still has a place in the NHL.
