Virginia Cavaliers at South Carolina Gamecocks ATS Prediction

The Cavaliers come in on a high note after thoroughly outplaying the Towson Tigers in their last outing, 73-42. Virginia had a much better turnover percentage (7.5 vs. 20.9) and had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.574 vs. 0.366). De’Andre Hunter led the way for Virginia, recording 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The last time the Gamecocks played, they were victorious over the USC Upstate Spartans, 65-52. The Gamecocks had a much better free throw rate (0.466 vs. 0.121) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (42.2 vs. 20.5). With 13 points and 11 rebounds, Chris Silva had a good game for South Carolina.

The ineffective offense of South Carolina will go head-to-head against the top-notch defense of Virginia. Since last season, the Gamecocks rank 268th in offensive efficiency, while Virginia is second in defensive efficiency. The Cavaliers figure to have the edge on that end of the court.
