The Golden State Warriors came back from a 15-point deficit at halftime to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals and now they are up 2-0 before the series moves to Oregon.
“Our experience really paid off for us tonight having a bunch of guys who just won’t quit,” said Draymond Green, who was right smack in the middle of it all.
On the other hand, the Blazers weren’t happy with the loss but they know how good the Warriors are. “They stole it, but they earned it down the stretch,” CJ McCollum said.

Lillard: ‘Lot of contact’ by Iguodala on final play | ESPN
The Portland Trail Blazers suffered a narrow defeat to the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals and Damian Lillard was unhappy with the officials’ decision on the final play of the game. Lillard was set to fire a three-pointer but Andre Iguodala stripped the ball away and Lillard thought there was contact which the officials didn’t see.
“I know it’s a tough position for the referees to be in to make a call at that point in the game,” said Lillard. “Tried to get a little bit of space the first time. He grabbed my arm, and I lost the ball a little bit. I regained it, and I was going to shoot it again. He got his hand on the ball.”

The Boston Celtics’ season ended with a disappointing defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference playoffs and although plenty of people think Kyrie Irving will not return to Boston, some think he’ll be back.

Kerr: KD injury ‘more serious than we thought’ | ESPN
Kevin Durant will definitely miss Game 3 and Game 4 due to his strained right calf. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr doubts Durant’s availability for the rest of the series and said Durant would be re-evaluated again in a week.
“Hopefully he continues to progress, and he has made progress but it’s a little more serious than we thought at the very beginning,” Kerr said. “So we’ll see where it all goes, but he’s in there all day long getting treatment. He’s done a great job of committing himself to that process. [Warriors director of sports medicine and performance] Rick [Celebrini] and his staff are in there all day, and hopefully, he’ll be back at some point, but we’ll just wait and see.”

The Washington Wizards will conduct an interview with Denver Nuggets president of basketball operations Tim Connelly, who is one of the leading candidates for the post in the country’s capital. Connelly is a Baltimore native and his first NBA job was in the Wizards front office where he worked as an intern in 1996. His wife is from Washington, D.C.
The Washington Wizards have been granted permission to discuss franchise’s President of Basketball Operations job with Denver Nuggets President Tim Connelly, league sources tell ESPN. Meeting is expected this week.
