The Citadel Bulldogs (9-4, 1-1 SoCon) travel to Furman to play the Paladins (13-2, 2-1 SoCon) in what should be a high-scoring game. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 5, 2019.

Citadel Bulldogs at Furman Paladins Betting Prediction

In the Bulldogs’ last outing, they were thoroughly outplayed by the No. 22 Clemson Tigers, 100-80. Clemson’s 21.4 offensive rebounding percentage was their largest advantage over Citadel, who had a rate of 8.3. Lew Stallworth led Citadel in scoring with 15 points on 4-for-12 shooting.

The Paladins easily got past the Bob Jones University Bruins in their last matchup, 102-48. The Paladins had a much better turnover percentage (3.7 vs. 29.2) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (39.4 vs. 17.2). Furman could have their way on the offensive side of the ball as their prolific offense squares off against one of the worst defenses in the nation. The Paladins currently rank 51st in offensive efficiency, while Citadel ranks 283rd in defensive efficiency.

Both teams have had a player step their game up over their last five games. Stallworth (0 points) has been fantastic for the Bulldogs while Rafferty (0 points) has contributed greatly to the Paladins.
